Student ID’s and Parking Permits

UTPB is also encouraging students to go ahead and get their student IDs and parking passes. There will be long lines the first week of classes, so coming to campus in advance will save you time!

IDs and parking permits are issued at the UTPB Police Department in the Mesa Building located in between the ticket office and the new Welcome Center (MB 1240). The police department hours of operation are 8am- 5pm Monday-Friday.

New students needing IDs or returning students that have misplaced their IDs:

  1. Bring a form of Picture ID (Driver License, Visa, Passport)
  2. Bring a copy, via electronic or paper, of your class schedule/canvas or account inquiry showing you are enrolled in the current semester.
  3. Have your student ID number available.

Returning students needing stickers on their ID must:

  1. Bring your Student ID.
  2. Bring a copy, via electronic or paper, of your class schedule/canvas or account inquiry showing you are enrolled in the current semester.

How to get your parking pass:

Registration for parking is in your student portal. You can register for parking after you are able to see your charges for fall in student financials. Disable all popup blockers. This registration needs to be done on a tablet, laptop, and/or desktop computer. You will also need your license plate number before registration.

  1. Go to myutpb.edu
  2. On the home page, click on “My Finances”
  3. Then click on the "My Parking" tab
  4. Make sure the popup blocker is disabled
  5. You will see the cost of the permit. You will need to click on the check box to accept the charge to proceed
  6. Do not back out, if you notice you have made a mistake, keep going. Backing out will erase your information. We can correct the mistakes when you come to get your parking permit
  7. Fill out the information. The license plate is mandatory but the VIN# or insurance information is NOT
  8. Take a picture or write down your registration number given to you after the request has been filled
  9. Bring a photo or paper copy of your account inquiry showing your current charges or have canvas up on your phone so we can view your classes.
  10. Head to the Police Department and we will issue you your parking permit
