The College of Education is now offering an online Superintendent Certification Program. This certificate is a 16- credit program designed for principals and assistant principals who want to strengthen their skills as school leaders in their district. This certification can be earned in two semesters and is one of the only four-course programs in the state that maintains a practicum component throughout.
UT Permian Basin is currently waiving this program’s $40 application fee through Fall 2022. New applicants enrolled in the Superintendent Certification Program for Spring 2023 will automatically be awarded the unique $500 Public Service Graduate Scholarship.
Dr. Rod Uzat is one of the Assistant Professors for UTPB’s Master’s in Educational Leadership as well as the Program Coordinator for the Superintendent Certification Program. He works with all of the candidates and monitors their progress throughout the entire enrollment process. He encourages anyone seeking to strengthen their skills as school leaders to apply to this program.
“Students will share their experiences and challenges as well as build support networks and connections that will endure long after the program is completed.”
