Engineering students talking to employers at the engineering building
This year was the largest Engineering Internship Fair to date with 24 employers and 121 students in attendance.
The UTPB Career Services Office, in conjunction with the College of Engineering, hosts an internship fair for engineering students each fall. The fair is held at the new engineering building on UTPB’s Midland Campus.

This year was the largest Engineering Internship Fair to date with 24 employers and 121 students in attendance. Many of the companies in attendance brought at least one UTPB alum to help them recruit. UTPB’s Director of Internships and Employer Relations, Megan Baeza, said she and her office were thrilled to see such a great turnout this year.

“We are grateful to the employers that offer internship programs and recruit with us,” Baeza said. “We know that industry experience is a value added to a student academic experience and yields more job offers upon graduation.”

This fair allows students each year to connect with employers and gain internship experiences they might not have otherwise.

“Students are excited and becoming more prepared to seek out these opportunities earlier and more often in their academic journey,” Baeza said. “Several of our students have had the opportunity to complete multiple internships.”
