- UTPB's Advanced Audio and Visual Center Fosters Innovation
UTPB’s podcast studio is a unique asset for students’, faculty, and staff to utilize their voices and creativity.
The studio was created in March of 2022. It serves as a resource to learn about marketing, audio, and visual trends.
The studio, free to use, allows students the opportunity to create modern multimedia projects. It’s located in the library and is part of the Roden Entrepreneurial Center in the College of Business.“The goal of the Roden Entrepreneurial Center is to be a place where UTPB students can explore entrepreneurship and grow their businesses through photography, podcasting, videography, and networking,” said Blackstone LaunchPad Campus Director Danna Church.
The equipment in the studio has full photography and video capabilities, including a podcast table for more than two speakers and full Adobe Creative Cloud access. Still new, only a few podcasts have been recorded in the studio. However, there have been many video and photography sessions.
The studio is available to all students who wish to use it! You can use the equipment alone if you’ve been trained, or request assistance if you haven’t. The Roden Entrepreneurial Center can be reserved Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. by emailing launchpad@utpb.edu or church_d@utpb.edu.
