Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Laboratory

Bruker 400 MHz Advance III NMR Spectrometer with multinuclear probe and superconducting magnet

Bruker Top Spin 2 Analytical Software

The NMR Lab's instrument is capable of multinuclear operation. In addition to classic proton NMR, we are able to effect such analyses as heteronuclear correlation spectroscopy and NMR of a wide variety of elements such as phosphorous and vanadium, by virtue of the fully tunable multinuclear probe.

The magnet is a 9A Tesla superconducting electromagnet housed in liquid helium, and that is housed in liquid nitrogen. It has an "active shielding" so that it does not erase credit cards, etc. of instrument users.
