Department of Geosciences
The study of Earth
Do you have a passion for the study of our planet? The Department of Geosciences focuses on the nature, genesis, and history of the Earth. UTPB's department investigates the structure of the Earth, its sedimentary cover, the environment, and major changes that have affected life through time. The department encourages students to investigate how earth processes have shaped the economic value of the Permian Basin. We also encourage interdisciplinary studies both within the geosciences and through other departments and programs.
