Degree Requirements

  • The minimum total credits required for a BA in Economics is 120.
  • At least 30 semester credit hours must be taken at UT Permian Basin.
  • All required and elective courses must be completed with a grade of “C-“ or better.
  • This degree requires a minor.

Bachelor of Arts in Economics Requirements

  • Students must complete 48 semester credit hours to earn a BA in Economics degree.
  • Students must complete the following courses:
    • ECON 2301 Principles of Macroeconomics
    • ECON 2302 Principles of Microeconomics
    • MNGT 2342 
    • ECON 4323
  • Students are required to complete two math courses:
    • MATH 1325 Application of Continuous Math or MATH 2413 Calculus I
