The B.S. in Kinesiology with Exercise / Physical Therapy Track prepares students to enter the fields of commercial and corporate fitness. It also meets the pre-requisites for Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Graduate Kinesiology programs.The exercise and physical therapy plan focuses on care and prevention of athletic injuries, the analysis of human movement, and concepts of strength and conditioning.

Kinesiology Degree Requirements

  • Complete at least 120 semester credit hours.
  • At least 48 credits must be at the junior or senior level. At least 30 of these hours must be completed at UT Permian Basin.
  • Students majoring in Kinesiology are required to complete an academic minor.
  • Obtain at least a "C” grade in all Kinesiology courses. Maintain a “C” grade in all Minor and Prerequisite courses applicable toward the degree in Kinesiology.

Exercise/PT Major Requirements

  • Complete at least 37 semester credit hours in Kinesiology courses. 
  • Students are required to complete KINE 2370, KINE 3340, KINE 3350 and KINE 4310 as prerequisites to this degree plan. 
  • Students must complete 18 semester credit hours of PT prerequisite courses that include two chemistry courses, two physics courses, one statistics course, one sociology course and one developmental psychology course.
