Wayne Counts
R. Wayne Counts is currently the Associate Dean and Associate Professor of Accounting of the College of Business and Engineering at the University of Texas Permian Basin. He is currently responsible for teaching intermediate accounting and regularly teaches federal tax, and oil and gas accounting. He received his Bachelors of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Texas of the Permian Basin in 1985 He received his Master of Science in Accounting, specializing in Taxation in 1995 and his Ph.D. in accounting in 2004, both from Texas Tech University. He is a Certified Public Accountant and holds the Certified Financial Planner designation. Dr. Counts has taught at Oklahoma City University, Youngstown State University,
