Dr. Hassan A. Hejase is a Visiting Professor of Electrical Engineering. He earned his Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Syracuse University, Syracuse, NY in 1987.  He has over 33 years of experience as a faculty member and administrator at universities in the USA, Mexico, United Arab Emirates, and Lebanon. He has served as faculty member at the University of Kentucky, Tecnológico de Monterrey-Campus Estado de México, American University of Beirut, Lebanon, the United Arab Emirates University, and American University of Technology, Lebanon. As administrator he has previously served as Dean of Applied Sciences at the American University of Technology, Lebanon (2017-2019), and at the United Arab Emirates University as Advisor to the Vice Chancellor (March 2013- August 2016), EE Graduate Program Coordinator (2010-2013) and Department of Electrical Engineering Chairman (2000-2010).

His academic teaching background spans various areas of electrical engineering and has taught over 30 different courses. His research interests span the areas of computational electromagnetics, bio-electromagnetics, and modeling of renewable energy and power systems.  He has over 70 journal, book chapters and conference publications.  He is a senior member of the IEEE.
