Ahmed Hasnain Jalal is a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering. He earned his PhD in Electrical Engineering from Florida International University (FIU) in the year 2018. He received his MS in Engineering from Purdue University Northwest and acquired his BS in Engineering from Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) in 2010 and 2007, respectively. After his MS, he was occupied as a Lecturer in the ‘Electronics and Communication Engineering’ department of the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) during 2012 – ‘14. After his PhD, he worked as a Postdoctoral Associate in the “Biomolecular Sciences Institute” and “Energy, Power & Sustainability Group” at FIU. He was also employed as an “Adjunct Lecturer” at FIU in 2019 and a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of North Florida (UNF) in 2020, respectively.

Meanwhile, he holds two US patents and has published more than 30 articles, book chapters, and conference proceedings. He also presented his research at several international conferences and symposiums. He is a member of the IEEE and the advisor of the UTPB IEEE Student Chapter.

Research Interest

Biosensors, optical sensors, IoT and sensor data analytics, thin-film fabrication, fuel cells, and electrochemistry.
