Sports fields are available for play at The University of Texas Permian Basin! Reserve your spot now! The University’s soccer and softball fields along with outdoor volleyball and basketball courts will be available to any team, league, association, and community partner interested in providing sports in our city and on campus. Everyone is invited to play, and UTPB looks forward to providing families with enhanced, enjoyable experiences.

“The response from interested groups and teams to use our sports fields is remarkable. UTPB embraces this tremendous opportunity to give back and strengthen our community ties through sports,” said Director of Athletics, Todd Dooley. “Sports unite communities. We recognize participation in sports, both youth and adult, promotes many benefits.  We look forward to adding value to the City of Odessa and surrounding communities by expanding on the historical opportunities on the sports fields.  We are excited for people to see our vision come to fruition.”

The University has received interest from approximately 100 teams so far. Anyone interested can visit the sports fields’ website and email UTPB’s Sports Complex Director, John Gullion to reserve a field.

To celebrate, the University is opening the fields Labor Day weekend (September 3-6) for free play to the community. We hope you’ll take time to enjoy the facilities with family and friends over the holiday weekend!
