UTPB's Madison Valverde shares her Marketing experience and future plans.
Madison Valverde, the El Paso native, received an undergraduate BBA degree in Marketing at UTPB and is currently working towards an MBA in Marketing. Madison always knew she wanted to further her education. She explains, “During my last semester of undergrad, a professor spoke about the Graduate Assistant program.” She emphasized the program's usefulness and how it was an excellent option for an individual seeking an MBA. “After some thought and positive conversations about the program, I decided I could receive my degree, valuable experience, and connections, so I applied!”
Madison’s reasons for choosing UTPB stems from her childhood background as a competitive swimmer. “During my senior year of high school, I was recruited to come swim at UTPB. What separated UTPB from other campuses was the updated dorms and living quarters. The campus and the individuals who made up the campus were very welcoming. UTPB was also only a few hours from my hometown, so it was a no-brainer.”
After graduating from UTPB with her MBA, Madison plans to enter the workforce. “I resonate strongly with public service and women's rights and hope to make a difference in society with the education that I am currently receiving.”
Madison has this message for any student looking to pursue a business degree at UTPB: “The professors are incredible—educated, experienced and knowledgeable. They make the content you’re learning and studying enjoyable. Prospective students looking for a community of individuals actively rooting for you to achieve can find it right here at UTPB!”
We can’t wait to see what the future holds for Madison!
