Ceremonies took place on Saturday, May 13, 2023

The University of Texas Permian Basin is proud to share more than 550 students earned their degrees in spring 2023.

The Commencement ceremonies took place on Saturday, May 13 at the Midland County Horseshoe and Pavilion. The University welcomed thousands of families and friends to celebrate this milestone achievement in lives of their graduates.

If you missed the ceremony, you can still see your graduate walk the stage (or you can re-live the experience). All graduates who participated in the ceremonies received a personalized video clip capturing the moment they walked across the stage to accept their diploma. You can search for your grad and download the clips here. We encourage you to download the clip for free and share on social media using #UTPBGrad.

A favorite commencement tradition is to share an inspiring story of one of our graduates during the ceremony instead of having a keynote speaker. This May we highlighted Athletic Training student Arianna Flores.

Ariana has a heart for serving others. Like the majority of Falcons, she is the first in her family to go to college. She said she is thankful for her education and especially for the experiences she gained at UTPB. We hope you’ll take some time to watch her story below.

Are you thinking about earning your degree? There’s never been a better time to become part of the Falcon family. In fact, at UTPB you can earn your degree for free! UTPB now offers a Falcon Free program, a plan that covers the cost of tuition and mandatory fees for Texas residents with a family-adjusted gross income (AGI) that does not exceed $100,000.
