The highly anticipated 2024 Permian Basin Water In Energy Conference is set to take place from March 5th to 7th in Midland. Hosted by the UT Permian Basin’s Shepperd Leadership Institute, this prestigious event will gather industry leaders, policymakers, researchers, and stakeholders to explore critical issues surrounding water management in the energy sector. 

 The conference will kick off with a Welcome Reception on Tuesday, March 5th, at the UT Permian Basin Center for Energy and Economic Diversity (CEED), located at 11105 W Hwy 191, Midland, TX 79705. This networking event will set the stage for two days of insightful discussions and presentations. 

water-in-energy-2.jpgOn Wednesday, March 6th, the conference will commence with Day 1 Conference Sessions at the Bush Convention Center, situated at 105 N Main St, Midland, TX 79701. Attendees can expect engaging sessions covering a diverse range of topics, including updates on Texas and New Mexico Produced Water Research Consortia, Hydrogen Opportunities and Produced Water, and Investment Banking Outlook and Expectations, among others.

Attendees will enjoy a lunch keynote presentation by Representative Brooks Landgraf. 

In the evening of March 6th, attendees will gather for the Keynote Dinner at the Midland Country Club, located at One Wildcatter Way, Midland, TX 79705. This exclusive dinner event will feature keynote speaker John Moon, Managing Director at Morgan Stanley Energy Partners (MSEP), and will provide an opportunity for networking in a relaxed atmosphere.

Day 2 of the conference, Thursday, March 7th, will continue at the Bush Convention Center with more informative sessions. Topics for the day will include discussions on Seismicity & SRA Management Update, Treated Produced Water for Large-Scale Agriculture, ESG and Its Role in Financial Services, and Beneficial Reuse Pilot Projects Progress, among others. The Day 2 lunch keynote is set to be presented by Mark Havens, Chief Clerk of the General Land Office.
