Graduate Retention and Opportunities in the Workforce
Project GROW is here to make graduate education accessible and supportive for low-income students in the Permian Basin! We’re committed to empowering students to reach their academic and career goals by breaking down barriers to advanced degrees. From financial aid guidance and mentorship to expanded program options, Project GROW provides the resources and support every student needs to succeed. Project GROW Scholarship
- Project GROW is committed to helping students with five $10,000 scholarships annually. Broken down into $5,000 for each of the Fall and Spring semesters
- Must be admitted full-time into a graduate degree program
- Must maintain a GPA of at least 3.00
- Must be a citizen of the United States to be eligible for Federal grant funds
- Must be a resident of the Permian Basin
- Apply by completing the Project GROW Scholarship Form and submitting an essay describing the student's need. Applications are due by August 1st
Graduate Assistantships
- Graduate Research Assistantships (GRA): Performs duties related to a scholarly project or research under the guidance of a faculty member
- Project GROW funds several GRAs every semester for an appointment for one Academic Year
- Must be admitted full-time into a graduate degree program
- Must maintain a GPA of at least 3.00
- Must be a citizen of the United States to be eligible for Federal grant funds
- Apply by completing the Graduate Assistant Nomination Form, and submit forms to projectgrow@utpb.ed by June 1st
Graduate Program Specialist
- Project GROW offers personalized advocacy and mentorship oppurtunites with our Graduate Program Specialist
- Offers holistic aid to graduate students to assist in their graduate programs and remain in school during times of need
- Helps find and secure financial aid, support services, and academic support to graduate students
- Book time with our Graduate Program Specialist
