Dr. Donna Beuk

Dean of the College of Health Sciences and Human Performance

Donna Beuk, EdD, MSN, RN, CNE is a true student advocate as she champions students to discover the many opportunities a degree in the health sciences and human performance field provides. She serves as the Dean of UT Permian Basin’s College of Health Sciences and Human Performance (CoHSHP).

Prior to joining the leadership team at UT Permian Basin 2019, Dr. Beuk spent 12 years in practice and the next 11 years teaching the next generation of health professionals.

Dr. Beuk earned a doctorate degree in education (EdD) in Instructional Leadership with Specialization in Nursing Education from The University of Alabama. She earned her ADN, BSN, and MSN from the University of Mobile. Dr. Beuk has designed multiple clinical simulation laboratories for interprofessional education at institutions in Alabama, California, and Maine. She has a passion for creating learning environments that promote experiential learning opportunities for students across health science disciplines.

“It is critical for students in the College of Health Sciences and Human Performance to learn how to be a part of inter-professional teams,” stated Dr. Beuk. “By focusing on providing high-quality, safe, and patient centered care, students will develop valuable skills, knowledge and passion for improving quality-of-life for those in their care.”
