Helping and Teaching Students, Birth Through Adolescence
The Department of Teaching and Learning prepares students to work with children and adolescents and their families. Our programs prepare professionals to work in both school and agency settings to assist students in their learning and development. Many of our programs are offered fully online or using hybrid learning environments.
Our graduates are prepared for professional roles in early childhood education, elementary, middle, and secondary level teaching, supporting students with special needs and second language learners, as well as positions within non-profit agencies. We also offer advanced study for those already teaching as well as graduate preparation of educational diagnosticians and reading specialists.
Our teacher education programs are grounded in educational practice and include progressive field experiences to assure you are fully prepared to teach upon graduation.
