The UTPB Nursing program provides science-based, patient-centered, and caring- driven nursing education. In the first two years of four, students take science courses with other pre-health professionals in pre-med, pre-dentistry, pre-veterinary, and kinesiology sciences, then begin nursing courses in the third year. The course of study also includes courses in the social sciences that help students understand human behavior and to gain insight into the human spirit.

We prepare students to problem-solve, based on evidence and research, and strong clinical experiences in the community and regional healthcare facilities, in addition to UTPB's state of the art Nursing Simulation Center. The BSN program at the University of Texas of the Permian Basin prepares graduates to work in a wide variety of clinical settings and provides the necessary foundation for masters and doctoral degrees in nursing.
