
Exercise Science Bachelor's Degree
Bachelor of Science (BS) in Exercise Science
Students who aspire to enter the fields of commercial and corporate fitness or Graduate Kinesiology programs should select the exercise science area of specialization. This degree plan focuses on the care and prevention of athletic injuries and the analysis of human movement and concepts of strength and conditioning.

Exercise Science Degree Requirements
- Complete at least 120 semester credit hours.
- At least 48 credits must be at the junior or senior level. At least 30 of these hours must be completed at UT Permian Basin.
- Students majoring in Exercise Science are required to complete an academic minor.
- Obtain at least a “C” grade in all Kinesiology courses. Maintain a “C” grade in all Minor and Prerequisite courses applicable toward the degree in Kinesiology.
Exercise Science Major Requirements
- Complete at least 37 semester credit hours in Exercise Science courses.
- Students are required to complete KINE 2370, KINE 3340, KINE 3350 and KINE 4310 as prerequisites to this degree plan.
- Students must complete 15 semester credit hours of electives—four lower level and one upper level.
