Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Energy Land Management

The primary goal of the Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A) in Energy Land Management program is to prepare graduates to work in energy business and the Landman Profession. Our faculty and business leaders believe an understanding of business management, the energy industry, and law related to the energy industry is essential for professionals in the industry. The B.B.A. in Energy Land Management primarily develops students interested in careers managing property, mineral, and water rights in the petroleum, solar, or wind energy industries or in real estate. Our program requires an additional course in project or operations management to prepare graduates ready to work in the Permian Basin.

Degree Requirements

  • The minimum total semester credit hours required for a BBA is 120.
  • Students are required to complete GEOL 1301, 13021101, 1102.
  • All required and elective courses must be completed with a grade of “C-“ or better.

B.B.A. in Energy Land Management Requirements

  • Students must complete 18 semester credit hours of lower-level business courses.
  • Students are required to complete 24 semester credit hours of upper-level Business common core courses.
  • Beyond the AACSB-accredited business program core, courses needed to complete the B.B.A. in Energy Land Management include:
