My name is Liliana Araiza. I am currently placed at BSA Hospice of the Southwest in Amarillo, Tx. At BSAHSW, I work predominantly with the elderly population, as well as bereaved families. In Hospice, patients must have a terminal illness with 6 months or less to live, upon admission. Patients that have a terminal illness with 6 months or more to live are admitted into our Palliative Care. In bereavement, I communicate and support families that have lost their loved ones. Working in Hospice has allowed me to value the moments spent with my loved ones.

My name is Diana Franco and I am completing my practicum at Communities in Schools, an organization working with at-risk youth and dropout prevention. After graduation, I plan to get my Master Social Work Degree (MSW) and continue helping my community.

My name is Megan Cinelli. I am a United States Air Force Veteran and I am originally from Glen Burnie, Maryland. My current practicum site is at Buckner Children and Family Services and I work with families in the foster care system. Once I graduate, I would like to help other veterans in the area.

My name is Katie Kelley and I am completing my practicum at Buckner children and family services in the Family Pathways group assisting with foster care in the area. I would like to begin practice in the field of child welfare upon completing my degree in social work.

My name is Gracie Favela I am an Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) and pursuing a degree in Social Work. I moved to Midland Texas 10 years ago, I am originally from El Paso TX. I am currently doing my practicum at Buckner Foster Care. Buckner has provided me with amazing hands-on opportunities. After graduation, I plan to attend Graduate School at the University of Texas Arlington to pursue a Master’s in Social Work degree.

My name is Josh Kemper and I live in Midland, Texas. I am doing my practicum at Crisis Center of West Texas, an agency serving those who have been impacted by intimate partner violence. After graduation, I plan to get my Masters Social Work (MSW) degree  and start working in trauma informed practice.



Leticia Haro
My name is Leticia Haro. I am originally from Big Spring, TX but have lived in Odessa for several years and received my first degree from Odessa College before transferring to UTPB for a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work. I am in my last year, interning at First Five of the Permian Basin’s PAT (Parents as Teachers) program which is one of three they provide free of charge. PAT offers early childhood education services for families. I plan to attend graduate school after completion of my Bachelor’s degree for a Masters in Social Work in the fall of next year.
