Grants and Loans

UTPB offers a variety of options to help you pay for your college education. The types of aid listed below require the following: be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen; completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid each year by the established priority dates; maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress requirements; and at least half time enrollment in an eligible program at the university.

Some programs have restrictions based on established need, residency status, classification, and additional required documentation.

Grants

A grant is free money and does not have to be repaid. If you withdraw from the university, never begin attending a class(es), or stop attending classes, you may be subject to the Return of Title IV Repayment Policy.

Loans

A loan is borrowed money that must be repaid with interest. If you withdraw from the University, never begin attending class(es), or stop attending classes, you may be subject to the Return of Title IV Repayment Policy
