What does Fall 2020 look like?

In preparation for Fall 2020, a broad-based campus task force was assembled to make important decisions about how UT Permian Basin will open and minimize the risk of COVID-19. The full report can be found here but a summary of those decisions include:

  • UTPB will offer a full selection of courses for Fall 2020. Fall 2020 Course Schedule
  • On-campus face-to-face classes will be offered but with additional safety modifications.
  • Dates for the fall semester remain the same: students will begin classes on August 24 and instruction will continue through December 11.
  • Students will not be required to return to campus after the Thanksgiving break; details for taking finals will be determined by faculty. All instruction after Thanksgiving will be virtual.
  • Remote provisions will be made for students to complete face-to-face courses if during the semester they find they are unable to come to campus.
  • The Residence Life office has announced a new process for housing applications and roommate selection related to COVID-19 safety plans.
  • Student Life office has a new Fall 2020 Events Protocol for all the exciting events to come.
