Meal plans are required for first-year freshman, but can be an important and helpful way to ensure consistent and healthy meals for all students.

Meal Plans and Contract

  • The Value Plan (required for first-year freshmen) - Includes 3 meals per day: Monday-Friday, 2 meals per day: Saturday and Sunday plus $50 in Falcon Bucks ($1,999 per term)
  • Annual Plan Falcon 14 - Includes 14 meals per week plus $50 in Falcon Bucks ($1,652 per term)
  • Semester Plan Block 100 – 100 meals per semester ($854 per term)
  • Semester Plan Block 25 – 25 meals per semester ($228 per term)
**students may purchase more than one plan per semester

Meal Plan changes and/or cancellations must occur by the 5th class date to Chartwells. After the 5th class date, the meal plan cannot be reduced or canceled, but the student may upgrade their plan or purchase a new plan.

All first-year freshmen living in Student Housing are required to purchase the Value Plan. First-year freshmen are defined as first-time college students who have completed less than 30 hours and are under 25 years of age. Coursework earned through Advance Placement, CLEP, Dual Credit, Early College High School, or other similar programs does not count toward the 30 hours.

If a first-year freshmen checks out of Student Housing during the Dining Contract period, the student will still be responsible for the Meal Plan.

Meal Plans are pro-rated according to the UTPB academic calendar. Meal Plans are not available for use during the Winter and Spring Breaks. These breaks are factored into the price.

The Block Plan meals expire on the last day of each academic semester.

How to Purchase a Meal Plan

Meal Plan Contract

  1. Print out the contract.
  2. Submit the contract to the office in the Residence and Dining Hall or you can send the plan via email to mealplan@utpb.edu and it will be placed on your bill.
  3. Pay for the meal plan contract through utpb.edu

Freshmen living in Student Housing will automatically have the fee placed on their account.

Note: If you withdrawal from school or housing, you are responsible for getting the meal plan and/or housing charges credited on their account.

When does my meal plan start? 

Meal plans start Saturday, August 21, 2021

What are the Dining Hall hours? 

Monday through Friday 7:00 am to 8:00 pm, and Saturday-Sunday 11:00 am to 7:00 pm 

What is the last day to make changes or cancel my meal plan? 

Students have until the 5th class date (August 27, 2020 for Fall 2021) to make adjustments to lower a plan or to cancel. Students can always add or increase their plan during the semester. 

When does my meal plan end for the semester? 

Meal plans for Fall 2021 end December 11, 2021
