Alumni Awards

The Distinguished Alumni Awards is a tradition by the Falcon Alumni Network that represents the best of our alumni body. It recognizes outstanding alumni who have distinguished themselves professionally and through support of The University of Texas Permian Basin. The Distinguished Alumni Awards are granted in the fall during Homecoming.

The Distinguished Alumni Award is the highest honor awarded by the alumni association. It recognizes UTPB alumni who have distinguished themselves professionally, earning esteem and recognition in their careers from colleagues and who have philanthropically supported the University and community. The Distinguished Young Alumni Award was created in 2017 with the principles of the Distinguished Alumni Award. It recognizes alumni under the age of 40 whose leadership and achievements brilliantly reflect the Falcon community. 

Distinguished Young Alumni Award

Awarded to a young alumnus/alumna who has demonstrated significant achievement and potential in their field or community. 

Criteria:

• Age Limit: Must be under 40 years old at the time of nomination.
• Professional Achievement: Demonstrates exceptional accomplishments in their profession or industry.
• Leadership: Exhibits strong leadership qualities and has taken on significant leadership roles. 
• Community Involvement: Has introduced innovation ideas or initiatives that have had a positive impact on their field or community. 
• Alumni Engagement: Actively participates in alumni activities and promotes the institution.

Distinguished Alumni Award

Awarded to an alumnus/alumna who has achieved extraordinary success and made significant contributions to their profession and community.
