About Marissa Salgado
Young Distinguished Alumni Award Winner
Marissa Salgado was born and raised in Odessa. She is a graduate of Odessa High School and The University of Texas Permian Basin. She graduated with her Bachelor of Business Administration in 2007. Marissa is now a Financial Advisor for Edward Jones, where she just celebrated her 5th anniversary with the firm. She works with individuals and businesses to achieve their financial goals, such as saving for retirement, education, and preparing for the unexpected. She recently opened her own branch office last year.
Marissa currently serves as secretary on the board for the Midland Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and secretary for the Falcon Alumni Network (FAN). She is also a member of The Junior League Odessa, serving as co-chair of the Community Research & Development committee. Marissa also serves on the board for Ben Milam International Academy in Midland.
In addition, she has also been recognized as part of the 2022 class of Odessa Under 40.
Marissa hopes to continue making a difference for people in Odessa and the Permian Basin while supporting and promoting UTPB. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, growing vegetables and flowers, and drinking wine. She also enjoys traveling and taking road trips to surrounding places, and of course, cheering on the fighting falcons!
