University Police
Greetings From Chief Tom A. Hain
Welcome to The University of Texas Permian Basin Police Department's homepage. Whether you are a student, faculty, staff or guest to the University, we strive to make your stay on campus safe and pleasant. Utilizing our homepage to gather information prior to arriving on campus or to keep updated on our current activities is just one way we make our services available to you. On our main page are links to resources for Students, Faculty and Staff, and Visitors to our campus.
The University Police Department is comprised of 22 licensed police officers, who are certified by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement.
The Department provides police services on campus 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Our police officers are empowered to investigate all calls for service, criminal and non-criminal, on campus. We work closely with all local law enforcement agencies in order to provide a safe environment, both at UTPB and the Midland Campus. Please feel free to browse our site and if you have any questions or feedback on how we can best serve you, send us an email or stop by the UTPB Police Department (Welcome Center next to Human Resources).
Thank you,
Tom A. Hain
Chief of Police
