TSIA2 Assessment

Academic Testing Services

Have you already taken the TSIA or the TSIA2 at another school? Please retrieve your scores from the ACCUPLACER Student Portal and email your official score report to registrar@utpb.edu. Once your scores are received and processed, you will be notified of your updated TSI status.

EFFECTIVE JANUARY 11th, 2021

The Texas Success Initiative Assessment 2.0 (TSIA2) replaced the previous TSIA exam. The TSIA2 includes updated score ranges and minimum score requirements.

If you are not exempt from TSI requirements and have not been determined to be TSI-complete, you must take the TSIA2 before enrolling in college-level coursework.

The TSIA2 measures readiness in English Language Arts & Reading (ELAR) and Mathematics. State law mandates that all public institutions of higher education in Texas use the same assessment, exemptions, and minimum score standards.

The test is computer-based and must be administered in a proctored testing environment.
