Summary of the Program’s Assessment Plan

All students are assessed using a minimum of two measures on their mastery of the nine competencies that comprise the Educational Policy and Accreditation Standards of the Council on Social Work Education and any additional competencies programs may choose to add. Summarize the program’s competency-based assessment plan. Programs may add/delete rows to accurately reflect the number measures included in the data presented.

Assessment Measure #1: (Field Evaluation Instrument)

Dimension(s) assessed: Knowledge values, cognitive and affective processes
When/where students are assessed: The field evaluation instrument is administered fall and Spring semester at Mid-Term and 1 -2 weeks prior to Finals Week. It is administered by field instructors at each students’ field placement location
Who assessed student competence: Field Instructor

Outcome Measure Benchmark (minimum score indicative of achievement) for Competencies 1-9:

Students are assessed on a 5 point scale and minimum score indicative of achievement is a score of 4

Competency Benchmark (percent of students the program expects to have achieved the minimum scores, inclusive of all measures) for Competencies 1-9:

80% of students must attain a minimum score of 4

Assessment Measure #2: (Class Assignment)

When/where students are assessed: Students are assessed each spring during mid-terms week in class
Who assessed student competence: Social Work Practice with individual and families course instructor

Students are assessed on a 4 point scale and minimum score indicative of achievement is a score of 3

Competency Benchmark (percent of students the program expects to have achieved the minimum scores, inclusive of all measures) for Competencies 1-9:
