Environmental Science Academy

• Time: Monday - Friday 9AM - 3 PM
• Age Range: 6^th - 10^th grades
• Registration Fee: There will be no Registration Fee for this camp!
• Description: The Environmental Science Summer Academy will provide a dynamic and engaging program for middle and early high-school students (grades 6-10) aimed at environmental science topics including air quality, water quality, and soil contamination. This summer program will bring 30 students from Permian Basin area schools to work closely with university faculty and student mentors at the University of Texas Permian Basin to explore real world environmental and air quality issues. The event will include field trips to the Petroleum Museum, the I-20 Nature Preserve, and Carlsbad Caverns. 
  
  Participants are encouraged to attend each day of the multi-week program; however, accommodations can be made for those interested in attending the program, but are unable to attend all three weeks. Contact the camp director Dr. Henderson at henderson_m@utpb.edu for more information.
