In 2019 UTPB and OC teamed up to help the teacher shortage in West Texas. Both institutions came together and created OC2UTPB Teaching in 3. The program allows students to take an accelerated path to graduate and enter the classroom sooner.
OC2UTPB is designed to meet the students’ needs. Students can earn their degree entirely online. The first half of coursework is taken with Odessa College and then students complete their bachelor’s degree at UTPB. At the end of the program, students will have earned an Associate of Arts degree in Teaching and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Multidisciplinary Studies with E-6 certification.
Over the years, OC2UTPB has had a significant impact on the College of Education at UT Permian Basin, and we are thankful this great partnership continues today!
