The University of Texas Permian Basin offers a new Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design, helping creative students in West Texas turn their passion into a career. The program teaches typography, color theory, branding, and digital design through hands-on projects.

Got a creative spark and a love for visuals? UTPB is giving students the tools to turn that spark into a career with its brand-new Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design.

This program opens doors to a wide range of careers, including design studios, advertising agencies, tech companies, or even launching your own creative studio. Students will master typography, color theory, branding, digital design, and more. Plus, hands-on projects give Falcons real-world experience to hit the ground running after graduation.

With the nearest similar program in San Angelo, offering it at UTPB gives West Texas students new opportunities without leaving home.

“The BFA in Graphic Design is perfect for creative thinkers who see the world differently,” Tabrizi said. “It is for students who love visuals, storytelling, and problem-solving. This degree combines art, technology, and communication to shape how people experience the world around them.”
