UT Permian Basin enrolls 5,600 for Fall 2025; 52% of undergraduates pay no tuition, with rising re-enrollment and first-time student growth.

The University of Texas Permian Basin is proud to share that we served almost 7,100 students last year, and fall enrollment trends indicate another year of growth. UTPB enrolled more than 5,600 students for Fall 2025. Annual enrollment includes Fall 2024, Spring 2025, and Summer 2025. With this strong momentum, the University is looking ahead with confidence to its annual enrollment projections for the 2025–2026 academic year.

Even more noteworthy, UTPB continues to ensure that cost is never a barrier to earning a college degree. This fall, 52% of undergraduates have tuition and mandatory fees fully covered through financial aid, grants, and scholarships. And, since 2018, UTPB has seen a 56% increase in first time college students.

“We are thrilled to see our student body growing and thriving,” said UT Permian Basin President, Dr. Sandra Woodley. “Our record graduate enrollment and strong re-enrollment rates are proof that students are finding lasting value in a UT Permian Basin education. We are proud to provide a quality, University of Texas System  education at an affordable cost, and it is exciting to see so many students choosing to continue their academic journey with us.”

“UTPB is focused on serving the Permian Basin, and beyond, with programs that prepare students for high-demand careers,” said Dr. Becky Spurlock, Senior VP for Student Affairs and Enrollment Management. “From Falcon Free to the Falcon Fast-Track pathways, we’re creating opportunities for students at every level, including high school, undergraduate, and graduate students. I also want to give a huge congratulations to our hardworking Enrollment Management team, whose dedication makes all of this possible.”
