The University of Texas Permian Basin and Amarillo College are proud to announce a new partnership designed to make it easier than ever for Amarillo College students to continue their academic journey and complete their four-year degree as a Falcon.
This collaboration creates a streamlined transfer experience for Amarillo College students across a wide range of academic interests. With flexible online and in-person degree options, UTPB is prepared to help students seamlessly continue their education and complete their bachelor’s degree.
“This partnership reflects our shared commitment to student success and expands access to higher education,” said Becky Spurlock, Senior Vice President for Student Affairs and Enrollment Management. “We are ready to welcome Amarillo College students to UTPB and support them as they take the next step toward earning their bachelor’s degree.”
“This partnership provides our students with clarity and confidence as they plan their future,” said Bob Austin, Vice President of Student Affairs at Amarillo College. “They can begin at Amarillo College knowing there is a clear, affordable, and supportive pathway to completing their bachelor’s degree.”
A major benefit for transfer students is UTPB’s Falcon Free program, which covers tuition and mandatory fees for eligible undergraduate students whose families earn $100,000 or less annually. The initiative continues to remove financial barriers and make a four-year degree more accessible for Texas students.
To celebrate the launch of the new partnership, UTPB is also offering Amarillo College transfer students a one-time $1,000 transfer scholarship, awarded as $500 in the fall semester and $500 in the spring semester, to support their transition and academic success.
With a strong selection of academic programs and student support services, UTPB is prepared to help Amarillo College students transfer seamlessly and complete their degree with confidence.
