Amazing research opportunities

National Science Foundation funded research grants present the opportunity to participate in many in-depth research projects within in a variety of fields of study. You may be a local student who attends The University of Texas Permian Basin or participate as a student from another higher education institute. Each student selected to participate will be associated with a specific research project, where he or she will work closely with the faculty and other researchers. Students are granted stipends and, in many case, assistance with housing and travel.
The University of Texas Permian Basin invites students from any junior college within a 400-mile radius to apply for a paid summer research experience. This program is designed for highly motivated students that are interested in solving real energy and environmental problems. Each summer, ten students will work closely with faculty mentors on research projects and participate in professional development workshops, training sessions, and field trips. Students will also have the opportunity to present their results at professional conferences.
