UTeach Scholarship

In partnership with the UTeach program and Permian Strategic Partnership (PSP), UTPB is able to cover tuition and mandatory fees for undergraduates majoring in education in a science or math field.

UTeach is a program that recruits and trains STEM majors for the teaching field. Students complete a paid internship as part of the program and complete a bachelor’s degree in a science or mathematics field in four years, while simultaneously earning a secondary teacher certification.

In order to be eligible, you must be a Texas resident admitted to Education for a STEM program at UTPB, and complete the FAFSA by July 15. Funding is awarded on a first-come-first-served basis through a combination of federal, state, and institutional funds.

*Examples of funds used to meet the Falcon Free program include, but are not limited to: Federal Pell Grant, Federal SEOG, TEXAS Grant, tuition waiver/exemptions, institutional scholarships, etc. The Falcon Free program does not cover room/board, course-related fees, books, supplies, or miscellaneous expenses.

This guarantee is subject to change without notice based on the annual funding levels provided to the university by the federal and state education agencies.
