STEM

UTPB has scholarships for STEM students, as part of the UTPB Falcon Free Program. The program covers tuition and fees for low-income undergraduates in a STEM field. The University of Texas Permian Basin is the top higher education institution in the area. It supports local industry and trains the workforce.

Eligibility

In order to be eligible, you must be a US citizen, admitted to one of the UTPB programs listed above, and complete the FAFSA by July 15. Funding is awarded on a first-come-first-served basis through a combination of federal, state, and institutional funds.

*Examples of funds used to meet the Falcon Free program include, but are not limited to: Federal Pell Grant, Federal SEOG, TEXAS Grant, tuition waiver/exemptions, institutional scholarships, etc. The Falcon Free program does not cover room/board, course-related fees, books, supplies, or miscellaneous expenses.
