The application fee for Freshmen, International, Transfer, Returning/Former, Transient and Graduate Students is $40 USD.

NOTE: If you are taking courses through UTPB's Dual Credit and Early College HS program, you use UTPB Dual Credit Academy Application. You do not use the Applytexas App to enroll in Dual Credit or Early College HS courses.

Ways to Pay

Paying by Credit Card - the electronic application (ApplyTexas) offers an opportunity to pay the application fee using Visa, MasterCard or Discover when completing your application for admission.

Paying by Money Order or Check - please mail your check or money order payable to UTPB. Please include your name, semester and Application ID on your check or money order so we can credit the payment to your account. Send the payment to: UTPB Admission Office, 4901 E University, Odessa TX 79762.

If paying by check, please include the Date of Birth, Driver's License # and Telephone number of person signing the check in addition to the student's name and/or student ID/application #.

Paying by uStore - Students who have applied through ApplyTexas but have not yet paid the application fee can pay through UTPB’s uStore. A link is provided in the “To Do” list found through “myUTPB” Student Portal once the application is received.  It may take 2-3 days after submitting the application for the “To Do” list to be visible in “myUTPB” Student Portal.

Fee Waivers

In limited cases, the admission application fee may be waived.

If you are a new freshman applicant, you may request an application fee waiver at the time you apply and fulfill that waiver request by sending us your official college application fee waiver form provided by either the SAT (College Board) or ACT

OR you may request an application fee waiver by sending us a copy of your Student Aid Report (SAR) from the completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). To be considered for a waiver, your Estimated Family Contribution (EFC) from the SAR must be zero (0).
