The start of a new school year is just days away and UT Permian Basin wants every student to be prepared as they come to campus for class.
The UT Permian Basin website has a one-stop shop for everything students need to know before their first class Monday. Through myUTPB students are able to find their class schedules with room location, any needed documentation with the Registrars office or due payments with Financial Aid.

UT Permian Basin working to create opportunities for fun college memories the first week of school through a week long celebration, Falcon Fest.
It all kicks off Friday, Aug. 24thwith a pool party at 7pm. Students who are unsure of where their classes are can get a tour at 6pm Sunday starting at the Student Activity Center. Those interested must bring their schedule with them. Sunday evening with end with a game of grocery BINGO. Students can play to win groceries. Those that want help with how to manage their money can attend a budgeting workshop at noon Tuesday, Aug. 28that noon in the SAC.

Friday, August 24:
- Open Clinic for cheer/dance/step tryouts, 1-4pm at UTPB gym
- Pool Party, 7pm at UTPB pool (free food, sponsored by Campus Rec)
Saturday, August 25:
- Dance tryouts, 10am at UTPB gym
- Cheer tryouts, 12pm at UTPB gym
- Step team tryouts, 2pm at UTPB gym
- CAB Movie, 8:30pm in the Quad
Sunday, August 26:
- Classroom tours, 6pm starts in the SAC (bring class schedule)
- Grocery BINGO, 7pm at the SAC
Monday, August 27:
- Food truck block party, 8pm at the Duck Pond (FREE food)
Tuesday, August 28:
- Budgeting workshop, 12pm in the SAC Fishbowl (FREE food, sponsored by Financial Literacy)
- Internal job fair (for students looking for work on campus), 1-4pm, venue TBD
Wednesday, August 29:
- Club Day, 6-8pm at the SAC patio (includes nitrogen ice cream)
Thursday, August 30:
- Club Day, 11am-1pm at the SAC patio
