UTPB’s residence halls provide modern amenities that cater to the needs of today’s college students.
One of the most exciting parts of college is getting to live on campus and experience dorm life. At UTPB, the Residence and Dining Hall (RDH) provides just that!
The RDH was built in 2017 and is more than just a place to eat and sleep—it’s a community hub that enhances the student experience. Nestled in the heart of campus, the RDH is designed to provide a perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and connection for every student who calls UTPB home.
UTPB’s residence halls provide modern amenities that cater to the needs of today’s college students. They are equipped with large rooms, study spaces, and lounge areas. There are a few floor plan options for students to choose from when living in housing based on their class.
Freshmen can choose a two-person double occupancy suite or a four-person suite. Upperclassmen have three options to choose from: a four-bedroom apartment, two-bedroom apartment, or efficiency apartment. Family housing is also offered for students who have those needs.
On the first floor of the RDH you will find an almost always packed Falcon Cafe. This cafe offers a variety of food options for students including American, Mexican, and Asian cuisine. The chef also offers personalized meals for students with food restrictions.
UTPB provides four other dining locations across the University. The second floor of the Mesa building houses the Market at the Mesa. This market offers various packaged and ready-made meals and snacks as well as a full-service Starbucks. The student Activity Center (SAC) contains two restaurants: Smash’d and Burger 432 offering all-day breakfast, burgers, tacos, loaded tots, and more.
The newest dining location, Catalyst Cafe, is at UTPB’s Midland campus in the CEED Building. This sandwich and fry shop provides on-the-go meals for students and community members who are away from the Odessa campus.
UTPB’s housing and dining options play a vital role in shaping the student experience with the offering of superior facilities that make the campus a West Texas gem.
