Department of Literature and Language
Read. Write. Understand.
The UTPB Department of Literature and Languages features undergraduate and graduate English and Spanish programs. Our courses teach the use and structure of language as well as analysis and appreciation of literary works and all written works, including film script content. Our programs teach students to write impactfully, to think and read with reasoned analysis, and to appreciate cultural and social differences. In both the English and Spanish tracks, our students study texts representing a variety of global and cultural perspectives.
