Degree Requirements
- Students are required to complete 120 semester credit hours.
- At least 30 semester credit hours must be taken at UT Permian Basin.
- All required and elective courses must be completed with a grade of "C-" or better.
Bachelor of Arts in Communication Requirements
- Students are required to complete at least 39 semester credit hours of Communication specific courses, plus a minor and additional electives.
- Students must complete Communication Core courses that include:
- COMM 1301 Introduction to the Study of Communication
- COMM 1315 Introduction to Public Speaking
- COMM 1318 Interpersonal Communication or COMM 2333 Small Group Communication
- COMM 3300 Theories of Communication
- COMM 3310 Modern Media in Society
- COMM 3330 Rhetoric in Western Thought
- COMM 3370 Research Methods
- COMM 4390 Senior Seminar in Communication
