Spring 2021 Graduation Information 

Graduation is one of our favorite days! We love celebrating the success of our students.

For Spring ’21, we are committed to a commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 1, 2021. We hope that includes an in-person event, and that’s what we’re planning for.  However, we will continue to monitor COVID-19, work closely with local leaders and health officials, and make decisions based on the best guidance available. Whether it’s a traditional commencement or a drive-thru event, it will be a special moment for our graduates. The ceremony will include Fall 2020 and Spring 2021 graduates. All graduates have the opportunity to walk the stage and participate in the ceremony. More information will be shared soon. Graduates can expect to receive an email with more details.

Whether you plan to participate in the ceremony or not, you MUST apply for graduation.   

The deadline to apply for Spring 2021 graduation is March 12th

Fall 2020 graduates do not need to reapply for graduation as we already have your application on file.   

Spring 2021 degrees will be conferred on May 1st, 2021

Applying to graduate does not guarantee you will be awarded a degree. All graduation requirements must be met before a degree can be awarded. 

UNDERGRADUATE GRADUATION APPLICATION PROCESS

Step 1.  Please meet/contact your faculty advisor to update and finalize your degree plan.  This will help ensure that you have met or will meet all the requirements in order to graduate from your major of study.

Step 2.  You must log into your student email through Office 365 in order to be able to submit the application.  Internet Explorer is the recommended Internet browser.  If you are unable to access your student email, please visit http://falconid.utpb.edu

Step 3.  Please fill out the Undergraduate graduation application: UT Permian Basin Undergraduate Graduation Application

Step 5:  Please fill out the UT Permian Basin Graduating Senior Questionnaire and the survey:

Step 6.  The Graduation Fee ($25) will be placed onto your MyUTPB account.  Pay the fee online through your MyUTPB account or with the Accounting Office once it is posted.
