- UT System Board of Regents Invests $9 million in UTPB
The UT System Board of Regents approved the allocation of $9 million dollars over the next three years to the University of Texas Permian Basin. The funds will be generated through the UT System Internal Lending Program designed to launch online degree programs.
Following a detailed analysis of operations and management President Sandra Woodley identified significant institutional challenges and very exciting future potential. She developed a three-year plan to shore up deficiencies and to make forward thinking investments that will position UT Permian Basin for the future. Several aspects of the plan will include investments in the following:
- Strategic Enrollment management system
- Business process reengineering
- Technology and strategic analytics aimed at attracting and retaining students
- Communications and Marketing
- Investments for student services, including advising
- Expertise/capital/program enhancements
