On January 10, Midland Memorial graciously donated $5,000 for NCLEX scholarships. This gift will help alleviate the final financial burden of the cost of NCLEX registration facing students as they make final preparations to become nurses. The National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN® exam) is designed to determine if nursing students are prepared to begin practice as an entry-level nurse. While nursing school exams are knowledge-based, the NCLEX-RN® tests application and analysis using the nursing knowledge learned in coursework. Critical thinking skills necessary to make nursing judgments are also assessed.
The NCLEX tests are required to receive professional licensure in the field of nursing and are created by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN). For more information about NCLEX, please go to https://www.ncsbn.org/nclex.htm
