- University Creates Falcon Ambassador Program
There’s another new beginning at UT Permian Basin with the launch of the Falcon Ambassador Program.
“It’s a season of change at UT Permian Basin and we thought this would be the perfect time to start a program like this,” Falcon Ambassador advisor, David Gonzalez said.
Ambassadors are leaders that are proud students willing to represent the University on and off campus. They serve as the student body’s representatives at all University related events around the community.
Fifteen students were selected to join the inaugural group.
“More than two dozen students initially applied,” Falcon Ambassador advisor Delma Lay said. “We spent two days interviewing each student and making our final choices. It was tough. We had a great group of students interested in joining.”
UT Permian Basin President Dr. Sandra Woodley presented the 2018-2019 Falcon Ambassadors with their acceptance letters at the Falcon’s home football game against Western New Mexico.
“We are so proud of these students,” Dr. Woodley said. “They work hard to excel in the classroom and we can’t wait for them to represent our University.”
