The Falcon Alumni Network is excited to highlight the remarkable journey of Hannah Gore, a 2023 graduate from the University of Texas Permian Basin. With a major in Communications and a minor in Marketing, Hannah is making waves in her career as the Marketing Coordinator and E.F. Outfitters Manager for the Sewell Family of Companies. Let's dive into her UTPB experience and see where life has taken her since graduation.
Life at UTPB
Reflecting on her time at UTPB, Hannah describes her experience as nothing short of awesome. Over her three years at the university, she played on the Women's Soccer team, forming lasting relationships with her teammates, coaches, and fellow athletes. These relationships have left a lasting impact on her, creating a network of friends and mentors she cherishes deeply.
Living on campus significantly enhanced her college experience. She spent her freshman year in the Freshman Dorms and the next two years in on-campus apartments. This close-knit living environment helped Hannah build strong bonds with her classmates and created a vibrant sense of community. She recalls making great friends with students from all over the world, broadening her horizons and enriching her college life.
Campus Involvement
Hannah's involvement on campus was extensive and varied. She was a member of Students in Philanthropy during her freshman year, an Orientation Leader the summer after her sophomore year, and worked as a student worker in the Communications & Marketing Department from her freshman through senior years. Her athletic pursuits included playing on the Women's Soccer Team and participating in the Student Athlete Advisory Committee during her senior year. These roles not only kept her busy but also helped her develop essential skills and create lasting memories.
Favorite Campus Traditions
When asked about her favorite campus traditions, Hannah fondly remembers attending various athletic programs' games, celebrating Homecoming week, enjoying movie nights at the Student Activity Center (SAC), and working graduation events as a freshman and sophomore. These activities brought the campus community together, creating a lively and engaging environment that made her UTPB experience truly special.
Advice for Current Students and Young Alumni
Hannah's advice to current students and young alumni is heartfelt and insightful: "Cherish every experience because it will go by quickly. Embrace every moment, and don't be afraid to take risks. If an opportunity presents itself, take it—you never know what it might lead to." Her words remind us all to savor our time at UTPB and to be open to the possibilities that come our way.
