From the soccer field to the classroom, Dr. Emily Morgan Mason ('13) has always embodied the Falcon spirit. As a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology graduate, she found a balance between academics and student life at UT Permian Basin, where small class sizes made her feel like more than just a number.
During her time at UTPB, Emily was actively involved in Women's Soccer, Baptist Student Ministry, and Theta Eta Sorority. One of her favorite campus traditions? Longboarding around campus—a simple yet meaningful way to soak in the college experience.
Now, she’s making an impact in higher education as the Department Chair & Professor, Wellness Coordinator at Victoria College and an Adjunct Kinesiology Professor at the University of Houston-Victoria. Her advice to current Falcons? “Live in the moment and enjoy all of the experiences UTPB has to offer. Form relationships with your classmates and professors, and don’t be afraid to ask about graduate school opportunities!”
