A $250,000 gift from Landgraf, Crutcher & Associates will help The University of Texas Permian Basin train the civil engineers who will shape the future of West Texas communities.

The University of Texas Permian Basin is proud to announce a generous $250,000 gift from Landgraf,
Crutcher & Associates in support of the University’s new civil engineering program, which launched this fall.

This transformative gift will help establish and enhance resources for students pursuing careers in civil engineering. In recognition of their generosity and decades of service to the region, UT Permian Basin will name the new civil engineering classroom in honor of John Landgraf and Drew Crutcher.

"Landgraf, Crutcher & Associates' gift to the new UT Permian Basin Civil Engineering program will make a positive impact on our entire region for years to come," said Jacqui Gore, Vice President of External Relations. "They are investing in our future Permian Basin civil engineers who will plan our highways, neighborhoods, and retail spaces. John Landgraf and Drew Crutcher have served this region for over 40 years, and we're thrilled to name the Civil Engineering classroom in their honor."

UT Permian Basin President Dr. Sandra Woodley expressed her gratitude for the partnership and its role in advancing the University’s mission.

“This generous support from Landgraf, Crutcher & Associates highlights how important collaboration is between our University and local industry,” said Dr. Woodley. “Together, we’re preparing the next
generation of engineers who will shape the future of the Permian Basin.”

The civil engineering program, part of the College of Engineering and Sciences, is located in UT Permian Basin’s Engineering Building, which opened in October 2019. The three-story, 105,801-square-foot facility was a $55 million investment in the future of West Texas. Inside, students learn in modern classrooms and labs designed for hands-on experience and collaboration. The building has quickly become a hub for innovation and growth, helping prepare graduates to meet the region’s workforce and infrastructure needs.
